John β€˜Feeshy’ Walker is an interdisciplinary artist, curator, and researcher primarily working with new media, video, generative programs, sculpture, and performance art. Through character/world-building processes, his work explores issues of capitalistic technologies, (re)circulated media, human-computer interactions, and "users" in connection to violence, christianity, and video games.

John is currently a Lead Media Specialist at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He is also currently pursuing a MA in Art History at VCU where he is researching contemporary, digital, and new media art.

He previously received his BFA in Art + Technology from the University of Florida where he was the recipient of the Jerry Uelsmann scholarship. His work has been featured internationally including exhibitions at Taman Ismail Marzuki (Jakarta, Indonesia), Satellite Art Show at Art Basel (Miami, Florida), Happy Gallery (Chicago, Illinois), and Czong Institute for Contemporary Art (Gimpo, South Korea). His work has been written about in BMore Art, Dinner + No Show, and archived in the University of Florida’s Digital Collections. In 2021, John was awarded the Innovative Artist Project Grant to pursue a web-based curatorial project as a part of his larger curatorial alias, POG Gallery of Contemporary & New Media Art. John has held positions as a Digital Fabrication Assistant at the University of Florida's Design, Construction, and Planning Fab Lab, Multimedia Specialist at the University of Florida’s Center for Online Innovation & Production, and Technical Director at the non-profit art and communnity space, Moisturizer Gallery.
